Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CleanerConnections platform ("Platform") operated by CleanerConnections ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CleanerConnections.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the CleanerConnections Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or policies incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

Your continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

CleanerConnections is a marketplace platform that connects independent cleaning professionals ("Cleaners") with property owners and managers ("Clients") in Kentucky and surrounding areas. The Platform allows:
CleanerConnections is a technology platform. We do not provide cleaning services. We do not employ Cleaners. All cleaning services are provided by independent contractors who use the Platform to find work. CleanerConnections does not supervise, direct, or control the manner in which Cleaners perform their services.
Cleaners may achieve different verification tiers based on their documentation status:
Tier status affects visibility in search results and access to certain platform features. CleanerConnections makes no guarantee that tier status ensures any particular quality of work.
Cleaning professionals must maintain an active subscription to access Platform features, including submitting bids and accessing leads. Subscription plans are available on a monthly basis with pricing as published on the Platform. Plans include a 14-day free trial upon initial signup; no charge is made until the trial period ends.
CleanerConnections makes no guarantee that Cleaners will receive jobs, bids, or any minimum level of work through the Platform. Similarly, we make no guarantee that Clients will find available Cleaners for every job posted.
CleanerConnections charges a 10% platform commission on all payments made for cleaning services arranged through the Platform. This commission is deducted from the total service payment prior to disbursement to the Cleaner.
Cleaning professionals pay monthly subscription fees for Platform access. Current pricing is:
Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly basis. Free trial periods do not result in charges until the trial ends.
Upon acceptance of a bid, an invoice is automatically generated reflecting the agreed service amount, applicable commission, and applicable tax. Invoices are accessible through your dashboard.
All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge applicable fees in accordance with these Terms. CleanerConnections uses Stripe for payment processing; your payment information is subject to Stripe's privacy policy and terms.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Payment disputes for completed services must be raised within 7 days of the service completion date. CleanerConnections reserves the right to mediate disputes between Cleaners and Clients but is not obligated to do so and does not guarantee any particular outcome.
You agree not to circumvent the Platform's commission structure by arranging payments for services off-platform. If you are introduced to a Cleaner or Client through the Platform, all transactions for a period of 12 months following the introduction must be processed through the Platform. Violations of this policy may result in account suspension and payment of damages equivalent to lost commission fees.
All Cleaners on the CleanerConnections Platform are independent contractors, not employees of CleanerConnections. This means:
CleanerConnections is required by federal law to report payments to independent contractors to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) using Form 1099-NEC. Specifically:

Pro-tier Cleaners are required to maintain valid general liability insurance. Cleaners are strongly encouraged to obtain:
CleanerConnections is not responsible for property damage, theft, personal injury, or other losses arising from cleaning services. Cleaners are solely responsible for damages caused during the provision of services.
Nothing in these Terms creates or implies an employment, partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, or similar relationship between CleanerConnections and any Cleaner or Client. You have no authority to bind CleanerConnections to any agreement or obligation.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
All content you submit to the Platform (including profile information, job postings, messages, and reviews) must:
Pro-tier Cleaners consent to background checks as part of the verification process. You authorize CleanerConnections to obtain consumer reports about you, including criminal history, sex offender registry checks, SSN verification, and other relevant records. You have the right to dispute the accuracy of background check results as provided under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Reviews and ratings submitted on the Platform must be based on genuine first-hand experiences. Submitting false, incentivized, or malicious reviews is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
CleanerConnections reserves the right to investigate violations of these Terms and, at our sole discretion, to suspend or permanently ban accounts, remove content, or pursue legal remedies. We are not obligated to monitor all user activity on the Platform but may do so to protect the integrity of the community.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. CLEANERCONNECTIONS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
CleanerConnections does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Cleaners, the accuracy of listings, the ability of Cleaners to perform services, or that Clients will pay for services rendered. Any reliance on information posted by other users is at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLEANERCONNECTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PLATFORM — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CleanerConnections, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with CleanerConnections informally first by contacting us at the address below. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional agreements you enter into with CleanerConnections, constitute the entire agreement between you and CleanerConnections with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior negotiations, agreements, or understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
